Mail Center Policies

Prohibited Materials

If the Mail Center receives a package for a student that it reasonably suspects may include alcohol, tobacco products, a firearm, explosive or another weapon (items that the Student Handbook indicates may not be possessed on campus), Mail Center staff will route the package with alcohol or tobacco products to a Student Life staff member. Student Life will contact the student and be present when the student opens the package. If the package does, in fact, contain prohibited material, the item(s) will be returned to sender or forwarded to someone off-campus. If suspected weapons or explosives are found in the Mail Center, Public Safety will be contacted immediately.
